I am planning my new and improved run. Guess what I'm adding now? Thank you so much for posting these pictures. Now my run will look better, too, with the greenery. I was a little worried as to what I was going to put on the ground, since the chickens completely annhilate (sp?) any plants that are in there. Now my grass boxes/salad bar will provide some greenery!

That's an amazing setup! With the green grass, it reminds me of a chicken miniature golf course!

Wanted to ask...what type of grass did you plant in there? Down here in Florida most people use that grass that puts out runners..can't remember the name...Kudzu? something like that. not much can kill it and I doubt chickens would either

We will have to see how that goes. I would like something that was a bit tastier for the chickens though. Those raised beds are awesome! I can almost feel everyone on BYC running out to get started on theirs

Wow! You just made all the pride I had in my coop/run turn into guilt for the way I'm treating my girls. Suddenly I feel like I'm running a Chicken detainment center. Excuse me now, I have to go apologize and let them free range for a few hours.
