1. First white Christmas in over a decade
2. my child got their driver's license in June and has been driving safely
3. my child got a first job and is doing very well with it
4. I am still employed and fortunate enough to be able to work from home
5. GOT CHICKENS! And they are thriving!
6. my friends and family have endured the year with no serious health issues or other incidents of harm

I got a huge raise!
My ducks were the healthiest they've ever been!
I had a wonderful excuse to not be social in person.
My adult stepchildren moved out! Woohoo!
Edit to add: and traffic was amazing!

I got three beautiful chicks
None of my chickens died which makes me feel like I’m taking good care of them
I didn’t have to socialise with anyone but my chickens
And I could order everything online from almost everywhere.

Covid retired me, and I got chickens! And, I had the best potato and onion harvest ever.

I am ready for a new year (spring! I want spring!), but this year taught me a lot. It would be a sad thing if I didn't remember and value lessons that have cost so many so much.

It’s been my favorite year.
I know that sounds SO horrible, but so many things have happened that are wonderful that wouldn’t have happened without Covid.
My birds.
My guinea pigs.
I love being home.
For me, there definitely is a difference between a house and a home.
And even during Covid...
I’m home.
