Closing listing

Hehe too funny. He will kill me for sure when he finds out I put an egg from my EE in the bator "just for S & S". The ONLY roo I have with my hens is that oh-so-beloved d'uccle!!

d'Uccle roos can be cantankerous, especially if they think there is a threat to their girls. Your roo may see your spouse as competition for the hen's affection lol.

I never had any luck getting standard eggs to hatch that were fertilized by a bantam, but I know other people who have. If it hatches, you'll have an interesting looking chicken!

I want these so bad! D'uccles have to be my favorite breed of bantam chickens! What other colors do you have? I just have regular ole' mille fleurs from a hatchery. I'm very interested in buying quite a few eggs! PM me when you can, thanks!

I have self-blue, black & mille fleur d'Uccles, each color in it's own pen.

The self-blue are laying eggs very dependably.

The black d'Uccles are laying more slowly.

The mille fleur have barely started laying. They're always last.
I have 4 chicks in the brooder and 4 eggs in the bator for 2012, 2 more eggs collected to set when I have a few more. I won't ship out mf eggs until I have hatched out enough to know fertility & viability are good. But so far I haven't had a quitter yet, despite setting oddly-shaped pullet eggs.

Everyone seems to be laying again, and the millies I have in the bator are all fertile (for a while he was favoring one hen over the others).

I cannot do a full dozen of any one color, though, unless you're willing to take your chances with eggs older than 4 days.

Hi I would be interested in 4 to 8 black eggs . I have lots of Self-Blue and Millie Fleur. So if this might be a possibility please let me know. Those little black ones are sooo cute.....

Let me see what I can do...

I have a black hen that went broody and the spaz is shifting from nest to nest. I don't want to ship eggs that have already been started and this hen is therefor driving me NUTS.

I'll see if I can break her or shift her to another pen tonight. I meant to do it last week but I've been sick as all get out with sinus issues.

Hi , any luck with the broodie hen staying on one nest and not trying to sit on all the eggs? Thats funny Ive got 3 silkies doing the same thing, I had one on 6 eggs and every time I go in the coop a different hen was on the eggs the last day i took them into the incubator ...5 hatched all beautiful little sweet things. Ive got them in the house in a big clear tub I feel better being able to watch over them and making sure they have lots of start and grow and fresh water. this way they think I'm their mommy...LOL I havent had time to use the computer for a few days, hope you didnt think I forgot you thanks Karen Carpenter Burlington, Washington

I rotated pens, and pulled hens off the nest for the most recent show (last Sat). I have broken all but 2 of the hens; 1 self-blue and 1 black.

Now I'm waiting to see who starts back up laying again.
