Closing up every night?

I lock em' down every night. When the sun starts to go down I am out waiting for them to go in. I have two light Brahmas that want to hang out as long as possible. So after the everyone is in, I run the ducks into the two coops and then the protesting Brahmas. I lost one duck to the bobcat at dusk one night. So I am out there before dusk. On warm nights like tonight I hung out until even the Brahmas went in on their own.
Once you lose someone to a predator you will learn not to take chances. The predators are always waiting for that one chance that you forget or are late.

We lock them up every night. We do a head count first. We have too many racoons who hang out around here taking advantage of my idiot neighbors inability to put their trash in a secure location.
