Clostridium perfringens in Silkie roo?

My 6-8 month old paint Silkie rooster has Clostridium perfringens, I believe. He recently has been pooping very explosive, watery, green stools. The green parts are small and scattered throughout the stool. I will try to get a picture here soon. He does appear to be less active and eating obviously less than what is normal. What is the treatment for Clostridium perfringens?

I would mix some wet chicken feed kind of runny, and add a tsp of plain yogurt plus a little soft egg. Poultry NutriDrench would be good, plus get him to take some fluids.
Many might go ahead and treat him for possible coccidiosis with Corid.

We followed up after treatment with probiotics which really seemed to help her significantly. She made a full recovery. I apologize, I no longer remember the exact dosage we used with her. I can probably look it up if you need it (just let me know), but hopefully your vet can help you out!

Metronidazole can be given 25 mg per pound once or twice a day for 5-6 days. Some use 250 mg daily for a normal sized 5-6 pound chicken. Many find FishZole online in 250 mg and 500mg tablets which can be split or put into a small amount of water to dose orally. Here is a link to either the 250 or 500 mg tablets:

Casportpony just told me that her vet prescribed it for several weeks for clostridium perfringens at 23 mg per pound twice a day if that helps.
