You're letting all of this stuff take "first place" in your head, and I can tell you're trying to do way too much at the same time. You need a break. Nobody here wants to see you that stressed out.

Sorry! Never heard of it. I've only been here 5 years! I'll go check it out. That the Creative Brooder Contest wasn't forgotten in a corner, like that stationary bike you bought to "get in shape" but have only used twice because the seat's too hard and life's easier on the couch.
No wonder it was retired 12 years ago. Either that, or people see I'm the host and are like, "Ugh. I was going to enter, but nevermind."![]()

I saw it but I don't have a brooder set up at the moment. I'll need to go digging back through photos from previous years on the off-chance I have any that give a clear view of the actual brooder itself. That the Creative Brooder Contest wasn't forgotten in a corner, like that stationary bike you bought to "get in shape" but have only used twice because the seat's too hard and life's easier on the couch.

Hmm. Hold on. Maybe a try 2 of it in April or so, when people start buying more chicks? February is a bit cold for getting them and not many people will be thinking of brooders then. That the Creative Brooder Contest wasn't forgotten in a corner, like that stationary bike you bought to "get in shape" but have only used twice because the seat's too hard and life's easier on the couch.

I agree, it could be slow because we're still early in the season. But SOMEONE must have photos from previous years, right? Still, I'm hoping it runs at least through May. I think it's such a fun concept, and something that probably won't get featured too often (since we're not all reinventing our brooders each year).Hmm. Hold on.
