I'm sorry to hear that, but it happens. Sometimes it is just natures way and there is nothing that you can do about it.

Just make sure that it is dead, I found one on it's back outside of the heat plate that I though was dead but when it was put back in the incubator it was still alive.

How do I make sure, I’m pretty certain it’s dead, eyes are open

My other grey chick seems a little lethargic but is still moving quite a bit and peeping, is this normal for a chick? I put it back in the incubator with the one that hasn’t dried yet

Yeah that is normal, they take a bit to build up their strength after they hatch so the longer that you can keep them in the incubator to build up their strength the better.

The one I helped hatch is bouncing around like crazy so I was worried that the other one isn’t moving as much

yep you will see their personalities come out as chicks, some are placid, some are bullies and some just run around like speed demons. But it is all part of the fun

It will, many say that they are worse than children because they don't listen when you tell them off but when you watch them doing silly things or just give them a cuddle it can be a lot of fun and well worth the effort.
