Cloth Diapering

All my kids are adults now. I used cloth diapers when they were babes and there was nothing like this available. How cool! Like ibpboo, grandbabies are my next stage in life, so this is great info. I wonder if my own kids will opt for cloth diapers. I hope so. Nice thread.

I actually had a dream about babies and this thread last night.

I'm losing it.

But I woke up thinking, I have another tip to add here.
Go to the automotive section of whatever store you're in next time. Buy a pack of microfiber towels for washing cars. They absorb SO much liquid. I fold them into threes and cover (sew on) them in flannel or velour for a soft insert that doesn't require folding anything. Over the woodstove, they dry in 30 minutes. I love them

If you are still interested my sister makes her own and sells them on line. The sight is mammabearbabywear she does a great job and would love your buisness. She uses them for her daughter

Hi

I have two in cloth diapers right now!
I just wanted to say don't buy too many of any one kind before you had a chance to try and see what works for you.

For some reason I was convinced I had to have wool covers (natural fibers, etc.) and bought a whole stash.

Then when baby was born the breastfed baby poo always leaked out and I was constantly hand washing wool. I was so tired and smelled like a wet sheep.

Had to resell the whole bunch and am now a dedicated Fuzzi Bunz user!
