Cloudy Days in the Coop - My Adventures with Chickens.

Not sure on the number, but we know we want chickens, ducks, quail, geese, dogs, cats, goats, sheep, maybe a cow, a few horses, and probably more that I'm forgetting.
*Ahem*
We want, if possible:
  • An infinite amount of chickens. (Split into three coops/groups - Meat, Egg, Pets)
  • 2 Horses (Minimum)
  • 4 Dogs (Minimum - Two for guarding/outdoor living, two for indoors)
  • 5 ducks (at least)
  • 12 Quail (At least)
  • 3 Geese (Minimum)
  • 4 Cats (Again...Minimum. Two outdoor, two indoor)
  • 4 Goats (Minimum...used for milk, fiber, and meat...maybe)
  • 4 Sheep (Minimum. For fiber, possibly meat, and cuteness)
  • 1 Cow (Minimum. Preferably Mini Jersey Cow, depends on family size, though)
  • 4 Alpacas (Minimum, For cuteness!! And their ridiculously soft fiber...)
  • 5 Rabbits. (Minimum. At least a couple of Angora rabbits for their soft fiber, and maybe meat rabbits? (If I have the heart...)
  • Honey Bees. (At least two hives!)
  • Pigs? Maybe, not sure though...

Oh! I forgot worms!
...Do those count? 🤔

I know it’s been a while since I posted some pictures of my beautiful flock...in fact, I haven’t been all that active here on BYC, either.
But just as Spring reveals flowers after a long winter, it also inspires me to open up again, to blossom. I can’t make any guarantees to be consistent, but I can promise that I will try to share more about the lives of me, my chickens, and the simple things that surround us.
Here are just a few pictures, but be warned - the chickens aren’t used to having their pictures taken, and I’m not used to taking them! (So they aren’t going to be great, but they still capture their lives.)

Oh my goodness, you named your black rooster Eclipse, too? I had a Mystic Onyx cockerel a couple of years back with that name! He vanished one day, unfortunately, but he was a sweet lump.
Those flowers are so gorgeous. The purples on the last picture are so vibrant.

That’s so interesting that you named your rooster Eclipse as well! He sounded like a nice cockerel - I’m so sorry that you lost him :hugs
I always get so excited when I see the flowers popping up! I can’t recall what the purple ones are, but I agree, they’re very colorful (Even more vibrant in person!) Do you have a favorite spring flower?

Thanks -- he was a good fluff. :hugs
I'm not sure if I really have a favorite or not. I have good memories of daffodils on Easter morning, but I also really like the crocuses we have (white, purple, light purple, and yellow).
I think that wisteria also bloom in the spring, but we don't have any of that around here, sadly. Or maybe fortunately, considering how crazy it can be sometimes.

Oh, and narcissus, like the one in your photo. Those smell so good.

I'm so sorry - I totally forgot to respond to your comments!
I'm amazed by how well you know flowers! I know daffodils and crocuses, but have no idea what some of my plants are!
I love how you know the names of some of my plants, and I'm clueless about which one you're talking about 😅
I hate to ask, but...which one is narcissus? The white one or the purple ones?

The white, daffodil-like ones are narcissus flowers.
