Clove Oil as numbing agent?

There's very little information. It must be safe from what I've read so far though. It's for anti picking, & pest repellent for chickens, & their coop.

Just can't find what I'm looking for.

I know it can be used as a moth repellant in your closet. I use it and it works fairly well for my clothes.

Yes, reliable medical information can be very difficult to find on the net, you have to wade through all the "opinions". It will be much harder (I would think) to find reliable veterinary information. I would not take people's opinions, I would keep looking for professional information. Try Merks (sp) veterinary Manuel, if you can.

Internet says a couple ways... Easiest is to take whole cloves, smash them to a powder, add a bit of oil (ie olive oil), and let set in the jar for a while. Then filter out solids and should have clove oil.

...might be more potent to add some heat somewhere in the process but seems interesting enough to try a couple ways and see what you get.
