*Clovers and Cottontails* A Rabbit RP Part 2

“Let me start the tunnel, you know bucks don’t dig well, I’d worry you‘d kill us.” Vetch began to dig through the sand, carefully tunneling past the muddy areas. “ I’ve widened a tunnel big enough for the both of us, come help me dig. It should be safe now.”
They covered ground quickly, the sand crumbling smoothly underneath their paws. “As soon as we reach the surface, run as fast as you can towards the prairie, I doubt they chase us past our inner borders, too many scouts.”
She spat out some dirt. “Let’s hope the Thicket thistlewits are occupied. I think there may be a fox in the clearing, the smell is overpowering.” After a while of digging, small streaks of sunlight broke through the dirt. Vetch exhaled, readying herself to run,
”Are you ready Caspian?”

Caspian gulped in the fresh air and nodded, feeling nervous. "Lead the way, Vetch."

"Stop- stop moving." The doe beside Vera whispered in fear. Vera heard her, "Fox, you will bleed out and die if you don't stop. Lie down, we're here to help. I am Chief Veritas of the Thicket Burrows. Now get back down." She watched him closely, ready to start the second he showed signs of aggression.

Fett hesitated. He remembered that name- Ashfur. They were once very close friends. He had been their the day Vera threw him out of the Burrows. This was his kit. "Alright. You can stay. But stay clear of Veritas and other doe's for a little while. For your safety. Like I said, we have a strong pecking order here in the Thicket."

“I will.” Laufen promised. She looked Fett in the eyes, grateful. “What should I do for now? What is Veritas going to do with the fox? We can use him- or at least I can, because I helped save him. He told me he was in my debt.”

“I will.” Laufen promised. She looked Fett in the eyes, grateful. “What should I do for now? What is Veritas going to do with the fox? We can use him- or at least I can, because I helped save him. He told me he was in my debt.”

"Ha. Smart rabbit. I'll let Veritas know that." He looked over at the small crowd gathering around Reynard. "Ay, you better go calm your fox down." Fett motioned for her to follow. He was taking a liking to this new rabbit, especially since she was the offspring of a once close friend. He trotted up to Vera who was trying to get Reynard to lie down and stop the bleeding.

Belle spluttered. Someone captured Vetch. Unheard of. Vetch was her captain, her lady. She looked to Roger then to Twister. In a split second she leapt upon the new buck and threw him to the ground, pressing her paws against his throat. "We're almost even." She panted, shoving Twister into the ground harder, "But this will have to do. If there's going to be a war we might as well have one less bunny to fight." She took a shaky breath, her muscles tense holding Twister down, "Do you want him in the prison, Chief?" She asked in a strained voice.

Falke watched Belle, amused. Oh, the bunnies were fighting now! Interesting! He shifted his talons on the branch.

"Ha. Smart rabbit. I'll let Veritas know that." He looked over at the small crowd gathering around Reynard. "Ay, you better go calm your fox down." Fett motioned for her to follow. “Reynard! Remember me? Laufen?” She said, crouching by his head. “Hold still, would ya? They have to take the metal thing out.”

Caspian gulped in the fresh air and nodded, feeling nervous. "Lead the way, Vetch."

Deep breaths, Vetch. Caspian is fast, he’ll be fine, and so will you.
“Run. As fast as you can, run now!” She burst through the soft surface of the dirt, Caspian beside her, and broke into a fierce run, making a beeline for the prairie beyond the trees. Her heart was pounding and her lungs ached, she’d only run like this once before.
Caspian was just behind her, keeping pace, his strong legs carrying him over the mossy forest floor. If only he’d use those legs for fighting. He could do serious damage with a kick from one of those. She hadn’t noticed any rabbits following them, and she prayed that they make it to the prairie in time.
