Rex kept following her scent but realized that she had gone to the Marsh Colony. "Noel!" He shouted once more, trying to not let any panic into his voice. He was very nervous. He hoped that Noel would come back soon. He did not want to risk going into the Marsh Colony and fighting so he started to hop back to the Thicket Burrows.
As Noel slowly made her way down the mountain, she heard her name being yelled in the woods. There was a hint of panic in the voice... Did he need help? She also realized that he really had followed her and she was filled with joy. As she descended the mountain side she thought of going back. But no not when she was so close to possibly finding out whose tracks they were. She did her best to wash off any scent in the small waterfall that was coming from the stream. The water was of course felt disgusting but it would take the smell away. As she bathed she felt the rocks beneath her to give a little. Playfully she bounced on. Suddenly she felt herself begin to fall. She screamed as she plummeted to her doom.
Rex thought he heard a scream. He quickly turned around and hopped to where the scream came from. He didn't care that he was close to the Marsh Colony's territory anymore. He would do anything to save his mate. He made his way to a small waterfall with a hole in between the rocks at the bottom. He could still smell Noel. "Noel! Are you down there?" He yelled loudly down the hole.

Noel hit the ground hard. She gasped for air. It wouldn't come and she began to panic. She couldn't breath. Suddenly air rushed into her and she began to cry out of the trauma she had just experienced. She didn't feel hurt. Adrenaline was pounding in her ears like a broken washing machine. "R-Rex?" She have screamed half cried.
