Saying hello to the community,
I have 10 Hy-Line Brown hens that I picked up from a commercial free range outfit. They live in my backyard now with a 10'X12' coop but have access to the backyard yard during daylight hours to run free with my English Bulldog and Pit bull mix. They are funny friendly chickens that have made themselves comfortable very quickly. most of them were Molting when i first got them but they are shaping up to be pretty good looking girls as they grow into their new feathers. It took them about two weeks to settle in but i am already getting 6-9 eggs a day. Egg weights are 65/75 grams an egg! I'm feeding Scratch and Peck Layer feed, Organic, Non Gmo, No Soy, No Corn. Im just dropping in to see what i can learn and hopefully share some silly chicken pictures.
