Hi all, im new here as of 5 minutes ago. Wanted to ask if any of you can help with the breed of of our rooster. He is about 5 months old, has yet to crow but has tried to mate with the chickens once or twice. Hes all around an interesting looking guy.

Thoughts on breed?...

Clucks a cockerel :'( any way to take any close up photos of him just to be certain? I dont see defined hackles/saddles but the fact that he had tried to breed, I've never at least personally had a hen breed another hen (or mount) :'(

Yes he has the long tail feather. We are hoping for figure out what breed he is. He was gifted to us from a lady that hatched show birds. But was not told what he is.

Sorry! Totally blanked on breed haha, I'd agree with the others with Legbar mix, maybe another crested breed however the color is fairly common so it doesn't exactly suggest towards any particular breed :'(

Once he's past his scrappy, gangly teenage stage, I bet he'll feather up beautifully for you! I'd love to see a pic when he's matured if you'd care to share
