Might as well start a thread.

Minnesota farm here. As I described in my intro thread we have a 400 sq ft cyclone fenced area and then a larger 10k sq ft area attached to it that has no roof. It's been good and the only time we've lost any to a predator was when they hid and I didn't notice they weren't in the cycloned run for the night when I locked up.

Anyways, it's single digits out there today, so I brought them a treat! We'll see if they warm up to it

Welcome! My chickens loved the guts and seeds of pumpkins. The hard flesh, not so much. But cooked squash was a hit.
I could see the cooked being a hit. During the growing season we always tossed the overgrown squash in for them and then of course there is the end of the season sunflower massacre
