Do horses eat posts when they are bored?

When we were in Sydney last we went past some city horses and boy were they bored then!
They were really chewing and grinding their teeth on the metal fence. I mean if you don't have to room for them to at least run about then don't have horses!!!

How do you keep horses 'unbored' then.lol??

Rustys not a ' crib biter ' or ' wind sucker ' I've seen him pick up a stick and offer it to the horse on the other side of the fence. He's just a real character, and loves to jump.
