here are my girls
for some reason it will let me post pictures of others birds but not my own, i'll try later.
this is my Paint Silkie "Buttons"- Best non standard color bird in the show.



my blue hen, best of variety




my son'ts black pullet- best of variety juniors



and his splash silkie which was best of breed juniors. (she was busy catching up on her eating)

It was a lovely show! I thought there would be more though, and more larger breeds but they were all beautiful! I especially am in love with those fancy white geese <3

So now I need to know who's son was in the truck bed selling silkies? I bought 3 from this little boy, who melted my heart! I was asking him all kinds of questions, which he did not know most of the answers to but he did know which ones were paints and which one was HIS! He told me they were all $5 except for his, his was $10 because he loved her!

So, because I loved this boy's LOVE for his chicken, I bought HER plus 2 red paints (one is a cross beak). LOL He was like, "Really!!?" Then he told me to be nice to her and not to eat her, which I promised I would never do! If he is YOUR son, please tell him his beautiful hen is in a wonderful home and I will post pictures here for him from time to time

I also bought a pair of pure white silkies from another guy.

Everything else for sale was either already sold or too small. Although I am kicking myself for not getting one of those lovely silver laced wyandottes! *grumble grumble*

We took a ton of pictures will send them to ya. Got called into work, but was able to stay til the end and got shots of the winners. Sarah did not enter a single bird, but had lots of fun at the raffle table selling tickets It is great to just get out.

I certainly would like to know where these were hiding, I didn't see any paint silkies for sale and I thought I talked with everyone there.

I can't wait to see them. My hands were full and I had no way to even try to get my camera out.
I even forgot to photograph any of my khaki silkies at the show.

They were directly across from the guy selling the Beagle puppies. They had 2 red paints and a black? paint that I bought. There were other solid colors also.

Hi Went to the show and it was awesome. I brought my 2 magpie pigeons & the old german owl (top row). The lady whose son was selling Silkies in the truckbed gave me 3 silkie roos, 1 of them a red paint. Handsome birds! Especially for free

Everyone had amazing birds, I love the Windsor shows!! Wish I had gotten to meet more of you!

No, not my son, he's all grown up! LOL We do not show any birds yet. I will say though, they were not as "painty" as yours! I'm thinking they were the ones that were not quite perfect for showing, ya know? One has a crossbeak and too much red splashed together on her wings and on the black one the black is not as obvious as perhaps it should be. (guesses from a non-experienced chicken lover!)

well you have a start anyway and we all had to start somewhere.
I have a paint with blue spots that I left home, maybe the spring show she can go.
