Coaxing a snake

is it able to get into the coop from underneath it? Might want to secure any holes in the floor of your coop so it can't get in. Snake probably will ignore the hens and just take eggs, but it could be an issue if you have chicks in there! If you know he's out (could bait him with a couple eggs a few yards away) scare him off farther and put up hardware cloth as a fence under the coop. Alternatively, just try to hit it with a shovel.

No there's no holes in the floor (see my previous posts). It's going up the ramp.

Does she describe how big the snake is? You can use some bird netting which the snake will get tangled in. Then it can be taken somewhere else and released or you can take care of it any other way you feel fit.
