Cocci not going away?

Yikes, $150 for a fecal test?! My avain vet does them for $50.00 and that's still to much to be doing them on a regular basis so I just deworm twice a year. I rotate between Valbazen and Safeguard. I occasionally have the state lab necropsy a bird when I loose one for whatever reason, just so I know what's going on, and parasites have never been a problem.

I saw that Hygromycin B stuff in the feed store but I was unsure of how well it would work and didn't buy any. It sounds like I need to try it. Thanks for the info.

Thanks also regarding the no withdrawal time for turkeys info. on Safeguard. I didn't know that.

That would be one expensive vet bill!!!

It has to be added in feed for 3 weeks to be effective to kill different types of worms that chickens get. There is no egg withdrawal. I'll stick with valbazen and safeguard.
Thanks. I think I will buy some the next feed store run I do. My DH will LOVE the no egg withdrawal aspect.

I like to rotate wormers, so it gives me another option.
