Day three and no sign of blood in any poop. Everything looks really good and the roo is acting completely normal again. I am so happy. I have been checking very carefully and I think it is safe to say Me and the chooks won this battle.
Does this mean he will develop a stronger immunity to cocci since he did not die and is getting better?
Again for anyone treating cocci with organic methods:
I separated the chick so that I could monitor him better
Mix 1 part whole milk with 1 part Plain yogurt with feed (in this case it was starter crumbles) until wet like oatmeal would be. The first day I had to dip his beak in it to get him to eat it, by the second day he was eating it readily.
Fed Greens and shredded apple
Put as much ACV in water as they will drink (about 1 tablespoon per chick waterier)
Cleaned waterier twice daily at least with soap and water
Anyway it seems to have worked. I am going to do a garlic treatment in a few days just to be on the safe side and then start re-introducing him back with the others by the end of the weekend if all is still well.
