cocci questions

How do administer the corid to my chicks? how long does it take to work?

I'm going through the Corid treatment right now. I started on Friday and put it in their waterer. Then I gave each chick the medicated water with a syringe from my Infants' Tylenol. I did each chick individually for 3 days some once a day, others that seemed more sick I gave it to them twice a day. Today is Tuesday, day 4 of treatment and they are finally seeming to be better. Some are still acting sleepy and not as well so, I'm giving them the meds with a syringe still. I also put some of their chick starter food on a plate and added the medicated water to that and it made a mush and they loved it, so they are getting some of the meds that way too. I lost 2 so far of 14, it's heartbreaking but hopefully I have gotten to the others before it's too late. Good luck. How do you know it's cocci?
