Does anybody practice this treatment? What kind of vinegar? How much vinegar to how much water? How long do you give them this water? Can I give it to them when they are chicks to when they are POL? Does this practice work sucessfully?

I don't know about giving it t them to cure coccida - but I give it to mine every time I give them clean water, two tablespoons per gallon. You need to use the type sold with the 'mother' in it - it will say this on the label - Braggs is the most popular - Amazon sells it for $17 a gallon with .99 shipping, best deal for myself. If you do a search on here for apple cider vinegar, there is tons of info on the uses and preventatives., human or avian. And I have day old chicks and quail, and I give it to them in place of vitamins and/or sugar water

I have heard of this, but haven't used it.

The "talk" is of RAW (unpasteurized) Apple Cider Vinegar added to the drinking water.

I would ALSO like to know MORE about this and perhaps use it as a "preventative"....adding it to the water periodically.

I give my chickens "active" yogurt periodically, also. I think it helps keep their gut in shape.

Hoping that someone "knowledgable" on this subject will answer the question in some detail.
