I found quite a bit more bloody diarrhea this morning so went ahead and gave them corid. One of the chicks seemed a little lethargic today too.

They were on all flock, but now they're back on medicated starter. We couldn't find chick feed anywhere. I have liquid corid. I gave them 2.5 mL this morning. They're water bowl only holds 1 quart. I've seen almost all of them drink it, including the lethargic chick.Be sure to give the maximum dosage of Corid. That is 10 ml (2 tsp) of the liquid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Once medicated feed is used, the coccidiosis vaccine is not effective, as far as I know. Are they on medicated starter or all flock feed? Either one is fine to use on chicks. All flock feed is used when their are chicks, roosters, and hens all living together and eating the same feed. Crushed oyster shell in a separate container should be available when chickens are of laying age, but not until then.
They have it at the feed store, but it's really expensive and the smallest size is 100 mL. I only need 4.6 mL for all of them to get 2 doses. They only weigh 10 oz. I agree, I do think they had coccidia because corid did help. I have terramycin, which has tetracycline, but it's a topical.Where are you located? Many feed stores sell LA200 oxytetracycline injectable for cattle in the refrigerated medicines. Get syringes with needles as well. You can give 1 ml now, and again in 3 days into the breast muscle 1/4 inch deep.
I’m not so sure there wasn’t coccidiosis, since that is common at their age. But the tetracycline might help if there is enteritis.
