Hello! I am wondering if anyone has some experience or advice with integrating some ‘possibly recovering?’ 6 week old rock pullets to my backyard flock of silkies.
I got the pullets at 4 weeks of age from a non-sanitary seller (wish I had known prior!). I have quarantined them in a clean space since (2+ weeks) and they have tons of energy.
I was going to integrate them with my backyard flock of silkies this past weekend, however, noticed most of them have blood in their poop. Some very runny blood. I assumed coccidiosis? I’m very new at this.. They haven’t shown any other symptoms (they’ve been eating and drinking sprinting around) however, I treated them with Endocox for the 3 day treatment, which I finished yesterday. My question is - if they are better and not pooping blood, when can I assume they are no longer contagious and integrate them with my backyard silkies? I have been prepping my silkies with electrolytes and acv in their water this past week
