Coccidiosis..is there a preventative?

I know there are lots of diseases and illnesses. It just seemed if anything, that would be my concern right now. I gave them some dry dirt I found in my wet yard. Your right I'm over thinking it. I'll have to try the hay. I keep it pretty dry in the brooder but I'm all for cheaper and better plus there's a place near me that sells it. Thanks.

Hay is solid and holds water and ferments, molds and rots, straw however is hollow and wicking
