How old are the chickens? Coccidiosis is common in young chickens, but not so much in older chickens. Symptoms are lethargy, runny or blood tinged droppings, no appetite, and a hunched or puffed up appearance.
Did you ever discover the cause? I'm in a similar situation. My vet said Egg Peritonitis, but I just don't think so! He said that it's common in heavy egg laying breeds at about 3 years.Chickens are 3 yrs. old. Any ideas what else it could have been? I sent a picture of poop if that helps. I really am at a loss.
