She had me stumped too. I looked at feathersite and decided I think she is silver pencil laced. I believe that is essentailly a partridge color pattern with a silver base instead of a golden base. But, I'm a chicken newbie and don't know genetics. She came from Chickygirl2 and I don't recall seeing anyone like her when I picked her up as a few day old chick. She is a real standout in my ranibow flock of many colored chickens. Also, she is mean to people, but not so much to her sister hens. So, her name is Lizzy Borden.

well she is a beauty, she would stand out! It's a good picture too. You caught
the variance in her colouring and feather pattern - I am a terrible photographer, my 5yr old takes better pictures than me.

Silver makes sense to me.... I think I'd try to breed her to see what she produces !
Every chick would be a surprise! Maybe some woul be silvery gray, some laced ....

What a name !! (I have a Broomhilda > she was a Standard Speckled Sussex and a real witch when I got her home but over time Broomhilda settled in
and now she is a sweetie pie. She protects the tiniest chicken I have they look adorable sitting or scratching together in the sunshine. No one goes near
the little girl anymore.

Thanks for the reply - I don't think I'll see a cochin like her very often at all.
