Hello, I'm getting an urge to incubate & hatch something cute and tiny. I have about 20 black copper French Marans. Also, I have a TINY English bantam rooster. He is my baby. He loves to be carried around, and follow you. He's getting some age...he's about 6-7 yrs old. So what are the differences between Cochin and Serama bantams? I'd have to buy eggs, as I don't know anyone hatching them around me. I just want something little and cute. Like I really need anything else to take care of with the menagerie I have going on here. LOL

I own seramas and enjoy having them but I will also say this, that will be the more difficult breed of the two. They are reputed to be harder to hatch, though I myself have not had any extra trouble besides typical shipped egg issues. They are a bit flightier, lay less often. In my opinion cochins are more docile and better layers. They are also a much broodier breed. This could affect your choice if you do or don't want a broody bird.
