apologies in advance. I’m about to spam you with so many photos but would appreciate any feedback!!
I’m new to pekin bantams and just had my first hatch and now I’m overly curious! I’m trying to wrap my head around colours. I was just hoping to find out exactly what colours I have and which ones to keep as favourable breeders?

The chicks are all roosters but one, they are between 9 and 11 weeks old. there colours are coming through and I was wandering if I should keep one that would be suitable over the hens I already have to breed a favourable colour?

Thank you in advance 💕

Are the first chick (Buffy color) and the last chick (splash) girls? Sorry I don’t know much about Pekin breeding but I’ll tag someone who owns the breed, as they may have an insight for you.

I don’t know a ton about breeding but, I’ll give you the insight I have
You have several different colours but I don’t think any are pure colours, but you have a mix of, buff, possibly wheaten, blue, splash, lemon blue?, and some brown, buff and partridge leaking on most of them
If you plan to show birds pure black is the preferred colour, but you can have others
Blue is a popular colour, and my favourite, so I’d probably breed for splash and blue, but all those colours are mixed so I don’t know if you’ll get any pure colours except maybe buff
I’ll show you mine bc cute
That’s an unlucky ratio, what will you do with all the boys?

Oh I also think there’s a chance you have two hens, there’s one that looks iffy
