Agree with the others, a brahma cockerel. You can tell by the saddle and hackle feathers he has, those are long and pointy. Only males will have these, on females they will be short and rounded.

For what it's worth, our nicest cockerel is a Light Brahma. They have wonderful personalities. Sorry he's not a she, but he is very beautiful.

Wow! Thank you all so much!!! Yes he was part of the bantam chicks they had, and I couldn’t resist. My mistake.

I had a Cochin hen few years ago that I got as a pulley from a local farm and loved her personality so when tsc had the chicks I took one. Lesson learned!

The pointy hackle feathers are how I can usually tell. The cockerels I’ve accidentally had seemed to develop those earlier and more noticeably than the pointed saddle feathers. He’s very pretty.

The comb and wattles are larger and bright red, her hackle and saddle feathers (the black and white ones on neck and lower back) end in sharp points instead of being rounded like a spoon. His tail feathers are long and curved. And you said he’s crowing, only roos do that

I agree completely but.... I wanna tell you something "And you said he’s crowing, only roos do that" Yeah funny story, I had a hen go broody and after her eggs hatched I'd let her out in the morning and she would crow every time it was crazy
