Has anyone out there mixed their Cochin s with a better egg laying breed like a Leghorn or other similar good layer? How was the offsprings egg production and personality. Wondering if I can try and cross breed for the look and personality of Cochin but with better egg production. Pics please!!

I have this exact same question! I hope someone can help me out. I realize this post is 2 years old, but hoping to bring it back up to the top ;)

We had our first hatching of Cochin x Leghorns about six weeks ago and I think they’re gorgeous! Some have lightly feathered legs and some don’t - more of the leghorn personality, a bit skittish and flighty. Very fond of their feathers, they’re mildly wavy like the Cochin but without the fluff. Still too early to report on the laying but overall super healthy, cool looking birds.

Do you have an update? I realise this is old, I'm just curious as well!
