Cockerel for sure, but I'm thinking langshan. I think Cochins have feathers on the inside and outside of their legs. But I'll be curious to see what someone more experienced thinks
I got it from Murray McMurray Hatchery, along with 35 others, most of which were a mystery exotic pullet collection. It's made IDing most of them a challenge to say the least.
I'd say its a cochin. Langshans have a tall upright tail and only have feathers on the outside toe only. This one pictured has feathers on the outside and middle toes. However cochins should be yellow legged, but I've seen some blacks with slate legs. I suppose it could be a cross of the two breeds. Or a Langshan that has grown in his tail for some reason.
