Cochin pic....what kind is he?

Here is a pic of one of my cochin roos. I bought him awhile back and he was all black. By the time the 4H fair rolled around at the end of July he had one slightly golden colored feather. Since then he has steadily gained more gold on him. Obviously he came from black but where would the gold feathering come from? It's almost looks columbian in nature but also entertained the idea of him being part golden laced. Any thoughts?

It looks more like a black that is leaking gold coloring tho

I doubt he's Brown Red...

Is the BR yours? He is handsome. I love bantam cochins I just do not want to mess with feathered feet.

OK I was looking @ some pics on google, and there was a jungle fowl or malaysian or whatever with the SAME colors as yours and it says they got that color by crossing a Birchen roo with a black hen...
