Cochin Pullet Limping

Thanks for letting me know that! I didn't think they would have any interest in foam. LOL. My perch in the coop is 3 levels the first starts at 1 foot the next is angled and is a foot higher and so on. I didnt think this was very high as none of the others have any problems with it. The only other thing i can think of is they do go into the horse stalls when the horses are in during the day. They love to eat the bugs and fly's that the horses attract. Maybe she got stepped on or grazed by one of them while she was in the stall? I noticed today she is starting to use it a little bit more than the day before so i hope she heals up soon:)

AHHH that would make more sense with the horses, because I believe chickens legs are made to tolerate a jump like that, exspecially since it does seem to be that far off. I've seen my Phoenix's and Bantums jump from 8 feet off the ground, Yeh, but apparently flying helps them. LOL.. Why they have to get so high to Crow is beyond me. LOL

LOL With my little banny rooster I was shifting "his" hens out of a forbidden corner and one squealed when I picked her up (they hate being picked up) and he puffed his whole body up and screeched at my hand. It was sooo cute that he cared that much and with his high little voice it makes you want to bust out laughing.

I don't know about that but they surely can SCREAMMMM.. lol Mine do NOT like to be touched, AT all the females are OK but the roosters, OMG. NO WAYYYYY

lol Opposite, my hens hate being picked up and will scwirm but I can practically grab my rooster and flip him upside down without making a peep, go figure.
