Thanks everyone, this is all so helpful. We went yesterday to a chicken farm and bought 5 more cochins. A roo and hen Splash. A sold black with a green tint and a black with gold on her hackle feathers. And boy are they big! They are way bigger than our std RIR. They guy said they were 9-10 weeks but I'm thinking older than that. We also got a bantam partridge cochin that is so sweet. I'll try to post some pics.
