Cochin question

JUst a quick one! I notice in pics that everyones cochins have nice fluffy feathery legs. Our rooster is (atleast in theory) a cochin. However, his legs arent very fluffy. Just feathers kinda down one side of each leg. Do their feathers get fluffier as they grow up? Hes getting close to a year old I think...

Where did you get him? I have a bantam cochin from a hatchery, and her leg feathering isn't nearly as thick and fluffy as some of the breeder birds I've seen, so I guess the hatchery cochins can vary a lot in the quality of the leg feathering.

We got him from a lady locally,but I am pretty sure she got him from a hatchery. What he lacks in leg fluff, he makes up for in personality!
