Cochin roo... what do you think of him?

This is Bo our large cochin roo. He is a great roo, not all that friendly with us but not aggressive at all. He is an excellent lookout for his ladies and will always make sure everyone else has plenty of treats before he takes any if at all. I am not all that familiar with the large fowl cochins and was wondering how close he is to the standard. My pictures are not the greatest but anyway I would love to hear any comments on his type... THanks.

He's pretty good! However, i'd like it if his back was shorter, and his main tail was less pronounced

Also, his barring could be a bit Clearer

And his foot feathering is a little too sparse. He looks like a decent breeder bird if you can pair him up with hens with better barring.

Yeah, Roebuck is breeding LF barred, maybe you can get a pullet from him

Thanks, that helped me a lot. His back is too long, and I think his neck is too long maybe? I think his mother was not barred and his father was, hence the rather indistinct barring and the blue versus black...

Godiva, IMO he is a beautiful boy with some mistakes, but still
