cochin roo?

We got two cochins that are 17 weeks old. The black and white one is 2/3 of the size of the lavender creatively named cochin. Cochin is very friendly more friendly than any of her other chickens. Because of the size difference I am wondering if maybe he is a he. Anyone have any thoughts?

A cockerel would have a huge comb and be crowing for sure by that age. I have a couple of bantam cochin pullets who are friendlier than our other three. I was sure they were roos when they were little because they were so super friendly right from the start (and fearless). I have read that, when young, pullets can be unfriendly but that changes once they start laying. I'm looking forward to seeing if that's true.
