Hello,

I am just starting starting to get into breeding/showing Silver Pencil Cochin Bantams (often called Pekins).
Yes, I am starting out with a very, lets call it 'rough', variety to breed to the SOP.

Any advice or tips for breeding and/or showing these little wonders would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance! ;)

I don't know much about cochins, but I know that feather legged breeds need larger boxes and roosts to prevent others from stepping on and breaking their foot feathers.

Do you have any yet? I would love to see some photos!
Yes I do! Two pullets from a breeder.

They were silver pencils gone wrong! Lol
They have black head and hackle feathers with some golden leakage in the hackle.
One of them looks like she has Silver Laced in her due to her 'nonpenciled' breast feathers.
My next post will be pics.
