What is HAL? Just curious!

It stands for Hatch-A-Long. There are several "official" HALs that occur on BYC, like the Easter, Halloween, and New Year's HALs, plus there's usually a monthly HAL just for anyone hatching that month, a lot of people make their own HALs when they hatch, and there are a few "unofficial" holiday ones for the smaller and quieter holidays.

How big do Cochins usually get?

How big do Cochins usually get?

The large fowl or standard Cochins can get pretty good sized—up to 8 lbs for hens. The bantams are pretty little though, a couple pounds or so
