cochins and pekins?

what is the difference between the 2 breeds? or are they the same breed? i have no clue as i am just getting into cochins and some one asked if they were pekins or cochins?

In the US, Pekins are known as Cochin bantams. In the UK, they are called Pekins. To further complicate matters, there is a Pekin duck..
