I love that color! Do either one of you sell eggs? I would love to get some Mille Fleur's to work with...we need a drooling smily face.

My hens are just starting to lay again after a moult. Mike gets first dibs, but after that I will have eggs available. Mine are mille roo over mottled hens, so you would get all mottled chicks carrying mille fleur, so it would take one or more generations after you got my eggs for you to produce mille fleur... but yeah, i will have eggs for sale soon, if the hens keep laying.

The Bantam? He is a Splash. The picture does not do him justice…his color is a lot prettier than it looks in the picture. For a while I thought he was Lavender but as he matured a small amount of dark splashes came out in his feathers. I was disappointed because I have a little lavender hen I wanted to breed with him.

I would go ahead and breed them anyway. He is beautiful.

If you do breed them, I would be interested in eggs in the spring.

I dunno whether I'll sell eggs in the spring, or not. If I do, I'll post it on byc first!

And it's been about a month since my last set of update pics. Time for more! I'll try to get some new pics this week. The mille fleur markings are looking really good on the girls, and Fidel is lookin' fine himself!

OK…If I have enough pens to separate them in the spring I will. I have 4 Lavender hens and 1 Splash. I also have blue and black hens some are smooth and some frizzle. I am planning on separating my black and blue mottled’s to work with them so I will have to see if I have enough pens to do the others too. I am short on pens right now because we lost several when a bad storm came through this spring and a huge pine tree fell on them. So far we have not had time to replace them.
