Sorry. I decided to make another topic here, seeing as people might have more experience here. And this place is way more active.

Hi. I'm hoping someone here might have some experience with assist hatching cockatiel eggs? I've had them in an incubator, because the parents wouldn't sit on them. Anyways, this egg is due to hatch in three days, so I figured to candle it before lockdown. And from what I can see, he's at the totally wrong side of the egg. I'm sort of using his eye as a guide. Is there any way it'll turn around in time? I've already lost two, and I want to do whatever I can to keep from losing another. (Yay for scattered hatches.)

Thanks~!

It's been a while, and because of the scattered hatches, I took a look at the egg again. (I didn't think it would really affect the others too much at this point.) He's still totally upside down. I put down the wrong date, and he's actually about a day away from hatching. Is there anything I can do to save him? He only moved about once while I candled, so he must be getting pretty cramped in there. :<

Thanks~!

Thanks, but I got to him too late. I opened the air cell end first, and he was already dead. It looks like he died around last night, or sometime yesterday.

He was indeed in the wrong end of the egg, along with it looks like a few scratch marks that looks like he was trying to get out.

Yeah, he was sadly dead. But luckily, as far as I can see, the others are all facing upwards.Hopefully I'll get a few chicks soon?
