So this morning a guy came to my door and asked me to come save a cockatiel he found on sidewalk.
We live in sarasota fl. so the low last night was 65-70. warm.
I got to the bird and it was laying on sidewalk. LIke it was sleeping.
So I brought it home and it is standing on bottom of cage, he ate some seeds "very little"
wouldn't drink water though, I tryed to give him electrolite water in a dropper, he is weak, but bit the heck out of me. "no luck"
Doesn't seem tame, but could be in shock. His eyes look tired and he seems puffed up.
He doesn't have a leg band. Is like drowsy ???????????
any ideas on rescue would be helpful
I have 9 parakeets, 4 quails, 7 hens. So I am familiar with birds.
I have him in a cage with food, water and the cage is covered so he can rest. When I tried to hold him he climbed up onto perch and is just resting there.
