Hi I was wondering if there are cockatiel owners who have had success with getting their birds to take anything other than seed? My two will only show interest in natural seeding grasses offered, obviously I get these only from my property so I know they have not been sprayed. Things I have tried: brocoli, corn on cob, boiled egg, pumpkin seeds, zuchini, apple, papaya plus lots more. I know they do not HAVE to have extra but it would be nice to give them a fresh treat now and again?

I had cockatiels and they liked.-

millet.

Thats it. they'd gobble their food but go crazy for millet

Maybe Banana?

Thanks. Tried banana no go. Not even sure what millet is, do you think already in their seed. Anyway, I'll check & try.

Millet is a very small round grain, and yes it is probably already in their feed. You can buy whole millet seed heads at most pet stores though, and hang them inside the cage to give the bird something to chew at, play with, and snack on. My mother's cockatiel loved millet and plain Cheerios as a treat.
