Hey Guys! Appreciate any help
I was given a hen June 11/25 who had a crop impaction sour crop and pendulous crop.
Nothing I tried with Monistat or herbals was helping at all and she kept wasting. 5 days ago I made the decision that I was going to pull her off her pellets since they’re carbs .. carbs = sugar and yeast needs sugar. I also decided I was going to implement neem oil diluted with black seed oil to try to stop replication as she was almost dead and if it didn’t work I would cull her the next day. Needless to say I knew within 6 hours that it was working.
Right now she is only being fed fresh greens from wild and garden and scrambled eggs.
Greens include: comfrey, common nettle, lots of broadleaf plantain, lots of dandelion, clover, purselane, coltsfoot, pumpkin leaves, oregano, thyme, rosemary
I’ve been giving her 3 scrambled eggs a day but she’s obviously ravenous and wants more.
She also gets 3mls of rooster booster daily and papaya enzym pill morning and evening
Today I did give her some mashed sweet potatoe as she’s got diarrhea and trying to help her tummy.
She is gaining about 2-3 ounces in weight a day now. Hoping that’s good/ok
I can’t let her out of cage because she literally tries to eat EVERYTHING including wood shavings and I don’t want another impaction.
Can I give her more than 3 eggs? Would there be anything else natural anyone could suggest?
