Cockatoos/anybody ?

Hey folks, Anyone out there have cockatoos ? We have a Umbrella Cockatoo.
I would like to start a forum on anykind of parrot. There are so many questions I have on them and cannot find a website like this where we can just talk about our owners. Thanks, Look foward to hearing from anybody. I also have chicks & Ducks of course...Ray

this is Pringles. i've had him for about twenty years now. great bird, very affectionate. he seems to preffer me over my wife lately which i attribute to the fact that i feed and maintian his living quarters.

I have a parakeet named Buffy that I got March 31 2009 (this year) for my birthday and he's the best parakeet ever (I've had others).

Although Ace was pretty good but Cupcake like hated me (they were my last parakeets) and i had 3 parakeets before that were very active and normal but not very friendly/interactive (they didnt like to be held/interacted with, the last 2 and current are friendly/friendlier and/or kinda lazy) haha lol anyways i love Buffy very much.

We have a Mollucan Cockatoo, Ozz. He is a character! Thinks he is a cat and will purr/rub all over you. He is our favorite out of all our parrots.

WOW, when I scrolled down to the picture of Pringles, I was looking at my Cockatoo-Audrey.
They look exactly alike. I have seen smaller too's but not a grown-up. Ours is 18 yrs. old. She was raised from an egg by her previous owner who has 6-other exotic birds. She didn't have the time to spend with Audrey so We got lucky and brought her home. I'am working on a book about her and would love to hear other stories.
One in paticular is what was your most frightning and most memorable story about your too. Would love some exciting memories if you want to share. Hope you check out my pic's and see Audrey.

I place rescued animals of all species including cockatoos occasionally

I had a very special project for three years - named Conrad this lovely M2 had a open hole in his chest (self mutilation) getting him healed and mentally healthy was exhausting

I have a Goffin(s). I never know if the s is supposed to be there or not!

His name is Oscar. I've had him for 3-4 years now. My aunt had him for about 12 years and decided she couldnt give him the care he needed any longer, so he came to live with me. He's loud, and he can be a pest, but I love him.

I just have a cockatiel, but i worked with 6 rescue birds. A blue and gold macaw named Rico, a military macaw named Meeco, a goffins cockatoo named Guffy, a bared eyed cockatoo named Esmerelda, and 2 umbrella cockatoos named Fred and Wilma.

this is Peppers. he was given to us because he likes to scream alot. the opposite of Pringles, i can't touch him but my wife can. he says "Peppers bad bird"," don't p..s me off", "who's there?", and some other grumblings.
