My chickens have all been sneezing and breathing funny for the last month but today when I went to see them I noticed my cockerels face is swollen his nostrils are bleeding and his eye is really foamy and is unable to blink. I don't have a clue what is wrong with him and am very worried for him well being. I have attached some images for reference. If anyone has any suggestions of whay it could be or anyway i could help my chickens it would be greatly appreciated!

What is your general location? It looks to be a respiratory disease, ILT or infectious laryngo tracheitis. Is there a bad odor from the face? The swollen face eye, and gunky eyes could be the same or a secondary disease, such as as mycoplasma or coryza. I would separate this rooster, clean him up with a warm wet cloth. Flush the eyes with saline eye wash, and apply Terramycin eye ointment or plain Triple Antibiotic Ointment twice a day to eyes. Keep his nostrils clean. Viruses such as ILT have to run their course over several weeks. MG and coryza may need antibiotics. Your other chickens are at risk to get this. If he dies I would consider getting a necropsy done by your state vet for a diagnosis.

I live on an island in spain where the isn't really vets for chickens unfortunately, there's no bad odor. I suspected it might be MG but I will try and separate him from my other chickens.

MG does not cause bloody mucus from the beak and nostrils. Antibiotics do not treat viruses, such as ILT, but you could try one to help prevent a secondary infection. Tylosin, enrofloxacin, oxytetracycline are some that treat respiratory diseases, but ILT has to run it’s course. Many people would kill a chicken with ILT to control the spread. Have you added any new birds to your flock recently?

I got new chickens in December last year and by the beginning of January all my chickens were acting ill, I'll look into the antibiotics tho.

Symptoms of disease may not every show until they endure something stressful. Birds can get infected, but not ever show the symptoms until stressed.

Most respiratory diseases, such as ILT, MG, coryza can be lifelong chronic diseases. Antibiotics may help treat symptoms of MG or coryza, but do not cure them. ILT has to run it’s course over weeks. Disease symptoms can come back again when stressed, such as extreme cold weather, or molting. They are contagious, and make the whole flock carriers for life. I would close your flock to new birds, and do not rehome or sell birds, since it will spread the diseases. Once all birds are gone from the flock, if one waits for a few weeks, healthy birds can be added without worry. Everyone handles this sort of thing differently, but most large poultry farms would cull sick birds.

Are you still seeing the bloody mucus from the nostrils and beak? What have you done so far? Is there any improvement? Here are some videos about removing pus from around the eye and sinus cavity:

I've put him on antibiotics, the mucus is still there, no more blood but now has a very bad smell, doesn't seem to be looking any better at all tho, the sweeling it making his beak constanly stuck open so is having trouble wating and drinking. I will take a look at the videos thanks!
