Silver Laced Prince is a study in the drama of black, white and red. Bantam Prince is about as opposite as you could get with that riot of color. Nevertheless, they're both handsome boys!

That little Silkie is just as adorable as he could possibly be. I just want to pick him up and cuddle him.

Name: Harvey (after the white rabbit in the 1950 James Stewart movie!)
Age: One year
Breed: White Jersey Giant
About: Harvey is a very good rooster. He calls his girls when he finds food and he makes a sound like a horse whinny to warn them of danger. He is very friendly and still eats out of my hand. He is almost twice the size of the hens! Harvey is pretty quiet for a rooster. He only crows between 5am and 7am and I haven't heard him crow during the day at all!

PS How big is a Jersey Giant? I just got my first Orpingtons and they strike me as huge after having had a Cream Legbar, a Plymouth Rock and a Barnvelder for the last 18 months. Could a bird named "giant" be bigger? Seems hard to imagine. But they were gigantic to someone somewhere along the line...

About ~ Nugget was named by my 4 year old daughter. He is a very sweet cockerel, he even lets my daughter take him down her slide. Nuggets favorite thing to do is strut his stuff.

Harvey should be cloned, he's so nice! He is almost double the size of the hens. if you look at this photo you can see one of my Easter Eggers behind him. Look at her legs and then look at his!!! You can tell he's way bigger than the girls. He's a big boy! And a sweetie.

Something about them: He is not very masculine. Just started to crow yesterday.
