I've read of two day old chicks crowing and one year old roosters that have yet to crow.

    Hi,
    Largely depends upon the breed.
My huge Brahma boys were 7 months old when they crowed and then they sounded like they had a severe case of croup!
What sort of boys are they?

I'm really looking forward to my little RIR boy to crow. He's only 7 weeks old but I think it's so funny when they first start crowing. I'm excited for him. [IMG]

I have two Marans cockerels about 18 weeks old just starting to crow but they're not really managing it properly yet. Sounds (and looks) VERY funny!
